After School Care
MSA
has been offering an after school care program for over 30 years. MSA was one
of the first Montessori schools to provide this service. This enabled us to
offer the Montessori education to a greater and more varied segment of our
population.
The
basic philosophy of our program is to provide a safe environment for the
children to feel comfortable and secure. Most of our staff members in the after
school program also work with the children in the morning which provides
positive continuity throughout the day.
Our
doors open as early as 7:30 AM and close at 6:00 PM. Younger children receive a
hot lunch prepared on the premises. This is followed by supervised indoor and
outdoor activities until it is time to go home. Older children will participate
in planned and free choice activities, with time for socializing with friends,
relaxing, and sometimes homework. All children receive a healthy afternoon
snack.

Extracurricular Activities
MSA
has been providing their family the opportunity to sign up their children for
activities such as:
- private piano lesson
- gymnastics
- ballet
These
activities are made availible to our parents as a service to help them free
their weekends. These activities start the first week in October. A notice is
sent home in September with a list of fees.
